Largo Facility Management Inc. offers Facility Management & Consulting services to public, private and nonprofit organizations in the operation and maintenance of their owned and/or leased properties. Largo strives to provide its clients with strategic & innovative facility management solutions. Largo and its team members, assist building owners in providing oversight in their day to day operations, capital life cycle planning, life safety & legislative compliance, energy/asset management along with project administration/management services. Largo Facility Management Inc. began operations in 2017 and was incorporated in 2021.

WHO WE ARE

Scott Mairs

Scott has worked in the municipal sector for over 29 years. In addition to being the founder and Vice President of Largo Facility Management, Scott’s current full-time role is with the Municipality of Middlesex Centre as their Director of Community Services overseeing all Parks, Facilities & Recreation for the Municipality. Scott has been in this role since 2012.

Prior to his role with Middlesex Centre, Scott was the Manager of District Recreation Operations with the City of Hamilton, Senior Director of Facility & Asset Management with the National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA of Ottawa, and Community Centre Manager with the Town of Oakville.

In his career, Scott has gained a wealth of project experience by managing hundreds of projects. Recently Scott was the Project Manager for Canada’s first Net Zero Fire Station overseeing all aspects of the project from design, construction to project completion. This project is currently being showcased for future Net Zero Energy projects. Scott brings expertise in community development, stakeholder engagement and evidence-based, results-driven project delivery.

Justin has worked in both private facility and municipal sectors for over 25 years. In addition to being Vice President of Largo Facility Management, Justin’s current full-time role is with the Municipality of Middlesex Centre as the Community Services Operations Manager managing Parks & Facility Operations for the Municipality. Justin has been in this role since 2018.

Prior to his role with Middlesex Centre, Justin was the Chief Engineer and Special Projects Manager with Budweiser Gardens in London, Director of Facility Operations and Support Services for Western Fair in London, and as the Service Manager for Cimco Refrigeration London Branch. All positions directly saw Justin overseeing facility operations, infrastructure, and facility capital improvements or replacement. Justin’s tenure with Cimco Refrigeration gives him added experience of working as the contractor of choice with many Municipalities on facility replacement, repairs and improvements.

In his career, Justin has gained a wealth of asset management and project experience through either assisting on or directly managing numerous projects in the recreation industry. At Budweiser Gardens (formerly John Labatt Centre) Justin led and assisted on many capital projects and energy saving/greening initiatives that were identified through Preventative Maintenance Programs.  These helped to compliment the 5-year, 10-year and 20-year facility improvement plan.  Greening Initiatives realized significant utility savings while maximizing waste stream diversion all without any impact to existing Customer Service levels.

OUTSOURCE FACILITY MANAGEMENT

Outsourced Facility Management focuses on Contract Maintenance and Operations of private and/or public facilities in the oversight of numerous onsite and building service areas. Largo follows an Integrated Facility Management (IFM) methodology whereby facility services are consolidated under one contract/management team, i.e. Largo. By doing so, this approach allows our clients to streamline communication and make day-to-day operations easier to manage. IFM allows organizations to reduce facility operating costs when having to deal with a number of different service contractors. In essence this approach allows the client to focus on their ‘Core’ business.

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION & MANAGEMENT

Largo can assist building owners in taking a project from concept through to project completion while working within a defined budget. With access to a variety of architects, engineers and consultants to suit your project’s needs, Largo will assist our clients in meeting their project goals. Largo’s Project Managers will oversee your renovation or construction project by preparing and maintaining project plans & documentation, complete project administration tasks and will manage relationships with consultants and contractors.
